About Raw Pearls

We are a father and daughter-led team with 40 years of experience supplying fine pearl jewellery to the UK trade. Our aim is to build deeper, long-term partnerships that go beyond a pure transaction. We provide a more attentive service – available not only via phone and email but mobile and WhatsApp. We hand-select all of our pearls… every one, sourcing internationally from pearl farms and string almost all of our jewellery in our Somerset workshops.

Dad began our business when I was born and moved into our current workshop in 1987. An old dairy barn in Somerset, the cows still wander down the lane for milking. I saw HRH Prince Charles open our workshops on a typically flooded Isle Brewers day. Seven years old at the time, I saw Dad present a necklace for Princess Diana. An ex-army, ex-rugby playing man… he loved pearls! And still does…

Miranda joined me in the business after a career in the city. She loves being the first port of call for her customers and is passionate about giving them what they need to be successful in their pearl retail businesses.

Miranda also fronts our online video learning platform, Pearl Academy, is a member of International Jewellery London’s Advisory Board and is Pearl Ambassador for the UK Women’s Jewellery Network. She was also named as a ‘Market Mover’ in Professional Jeweller’s Power List 2019.

We support our clients beyond the initial sale. Our clients need more from us in this ever-changing digital retail environment. We are now able to offer more images than ever before – beautiful, professionally shot images on clean white backgrounds in both high and low resolution formats.
